Here’s How It Works

This is a two-part hybrid class.  Part One is didactic and performed online.  This can be completed at your own pace and you can freely go back and forth to any segment.  This part is free, and you are welcome to revisit this material anytime you need, even after you complete your certification.

Once you complete the first portion of the training, you must take an online test and answer 85% of the questions successfully, before moving onto Part Two.  This portion of the class, including testing, should take you between 1.5 and 2 hours.

Part Two consists of a skills session, that must be performed in our Miller Place, New York classroom.  This portion costs $124.99, and is completed as a one-on-one or small group training session with an instructor.  This portion of the certification usually takes less than one hour to complete.

When you feel comfortable enough to perform the practical skills on your own, your instructor will give you a hands-on test where you will install an IV into a manikin arm.  Once you successfully pass the practical, a certificate of completion will be issued to you.
