Blood and Airborne Pathogens (On-Site)

This is a popular add-on class for personnel who have the potential to become exposed to blood or body fluids as a part of their rescue duties, or in their daily routines. Topics covered include blood and airborne diseases, disease transmission prevention, engineering controls, legal obligations and best practices regarding bio-hazardous waste disposal and exposure. The class will also review your company’s Exposure Control Plan, ensuring employees are familiar with your specific policies and procedures. Taking this course will allow your company to fulfill the annual OSHA requirements for blood borne pathogen training (29CFR1910.1030).  Participants will receive a certification card from the National Safety Council or the Emergency Care and Safety Institute.

Usual class time: 1 to 2 hours.
