Opiate Overdose Prevention

Opiate overdose emergencies are pervasive in New York State.  As a First Responder, I have seen a tremendous increase in the number of heroin deaths and near deaths.  As I am in the fortunate position to use my business to help people, I have teamed up with the New York State Department of Health and amfAR to provide this training program and naloxone emergency kits to anyone in New York State who feels he / she has the potential to come across a person who is experiencing an opiate overdose.

The following training class is completely free of charge and is being offered as a public service to everyone in our community.  You are encouraged to revisit the presentation as often as you’d like.

There are only three easy steps to go through to acquire a naloxone kit.  First, you need to watch this video.  If you prefer, you can also read the transcript by clicking here.  Next, you will need to complete a test regarding the material in this presentation.  Finally, you will need to make arrangements to pick the naloxone kit up or have it shipped to your location.  The entire process should take you about an hour.

Please click on the video below to begin the training class.  Once you view the video, click on the link to take the test.  When you pass the test with 85% or greater, fill in the form at the bottom of the page to obtain your naloxone emergency kit.
