Pediatric Advanced Life Support Course

Dentists, Registered Hygienists and many other Allied Health Professionals can receive Continuing Education hours.

For healthcare providers who initiate and carry out care for critically ill children, this course uses a scenario-based, team approach to teach pediatric emergency management of patients approaching or already in respiratory or cardiac arrest. The course covers CPR for children and infants, pediatric intubation skills. The course also includes treatment beyond the first few minutes of emergency care and goes through stabilizing and transporting patients in and out of the hospital. Students are expected to pass a written exam and successfully manage an emergency scenario.
